MicroCyps (MCYP)
MicroCyp P450 enzymes provide medicinal chemists and development scientists with unique tools to generate new molecules and metabolites. The Elite MicroCyp enzymes are improved over our Standard MicroCyp enzymes and have shown to be more active, have increased solvent tolerance and show greater substrate promiscuity. This makes them a valuable option where novel compounds or larger quantities of products are required.
MicroCyp Screening Kits
The Codex Standard MicroCyp Screening Kit contains 23 of our standard enzymes that are capable of producing mammalian-type metabolites and new compounds for lead diversification. Our MCYP enzymes are known to have up to 100-fold increased productivity when compared to Human CYP activity and hence, can be more cost effective when scaling reactions to produce gram quantities of your desired compound. 100 grams of each kit enzyme is available from stock for rapid delivery to our customers for scale-up work. The standard kit contains 23 enzymes arrayed in a 24-well plate, 1 screen per kit and 6 µM of P450 per well. Request a quote using the form below.
Our Elite MicroCyp enzymes are superior to our Standard MicroCyp® enzymes as they are more active, have increased solvent tolerance and show greater substrate promiscuity, which makes them a valuable option especially where novel compounds or larger quantities are required. The elite kit contains: 11 enzymes arrayed in duplicate wells in a 24-well plate, 2 screens per kit, and 6 µM of P450 per well. Request a quote using the form below.
Imine Reductases (IRED)
Imine Reductases perform the asymmetric synthesis of secondary and tertiary chiral amines from imines, or ketones and amines.
Monoamine Oxidases (MAOs)
Monoamine Oxidases convert amines to imines (asymmetric or resolution) using ambient oxygen as the oxidant.
Acylases (ACY)
Acylases are capable of ester formation/transesterification or ester hydrolysis.
Baeyer-Villiger Monooxygenases (BVMO)
Codexis’ engineered Baeyer-Villiger Monooxygenases perform the asymmetric oxidation of sulfide to sulfoxide using ambient oxygen as the oxidant, and with nicotinamide as a cofactor.
Halohydrin Dehalogenases (HHDH)
Halohydrin Dehalogenases perform nucleophilic displacement of halogen in a halohydrin.
Recycling Enzymes and Cofactors
Formate Dehydrogenase (FDH-101) | Formate Dehydrogenases enable the regeneration of NADH from NAD+ by catalyzing the oxidation of formate to bicarbonate. The driving force is the release of CO2. Our FDH-101 is a natural enzyme, with a specific activity of 4 U/mg. |
|
Glucose Dehydrogenase (GDH-105 or 901) | Glucose dehydrogenase enables the regeneration of NAD(P)H from NAD(P)+ by catalyzing the oxidation of ß-D-glucose to D-glucono-1,5-lactone. Note that D-glucono-1,5-lactone is easily hydrolyzed to gluconic acid, thereby lowering the pH of the reaction. Codexis offers two different GDHs: GDH-105 and CDX-901 with a specific activity of ~50 U/mg. CDX-901 is our standard GDH and has been produced at MT scale, while GDH-105 is typically more thermo- and solvent stable. |
|
Lactate Dehydrogenase (LDH-101) | L-Lactate dehydrogenase enables the regeneration of NAD+ from NADH by catalyzing the reduction of pyruvate to lactate. Our LDH-101 enzyme has a specific activity of ~60 U/mg. |
Cofactors available
NADH, NAD, NADP, NADPH
